Exploring the bustling city of New York is fun alone - but you can have even more fun with your furry friend by your side! Even in the concrete jungle, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to eat, drink, shop, or relax.
PARKS
Enjoy the great outdoors and get away from the traffic noise for a while at any of NYC’s many parks. Chelsea Waterside Park as well as Washington Square have roomy, fenced-off areas where dogs can roam and play off-leash. Dogs and humans alike congregate at these dog-friendly areas, and they’re a great place to make new friends. For a more tranquil, less social stroll, Central Park also provides off-leash hours from 6am-9am and 9pm-1am.

Visitors to Brooklyn can enjoy dog parks as well, with Domino Park in Williamsburg as well as Prospect Park’s dog beach.
DRINKS + DINING
The ultimate food & drink spot for anyone with a four-legged companion is Boris and Horton, a cafe and community space in the East Village. It’s a New York Department of Health-approved dog-friendly café where customers are welcome to bring their dogs inside. The café hosts fundraisers and events to find loving homes for pets in need, so your tab at the bar or bill for your lunch is going to a good cause.
D.B.A. East Village also has a spacious patio that’s heated in the colder months- try their rotating selection of specialty beers and spend time with your dog at the same time.
